Bond County Fair
The Bond County Community Foundation (BCCF) is dedicated to the furtherance of charitable and educational opportunities within the local Bond County area.
The purpose of BCCF is to bring donors and local nees together. We have been serving Greenville, Mulberry Grove, Pocahontas, Sorento, Smithboro, Keyesport, and Pierron since 2014. We hope to simulate charitable giving to build a better Bond County. Through either designated or undesignated funds from donors, the BCCF makes grants in virtually every field of interest including education, youth, community development, human service, and culture.
The BCCF currently administers funds for several groups including:
Bond County Ag Foundation
The Bond County Ag Foundation provides financial assistance for educational programs in areas of 4-H and youth development, agricultural production, agricultural management, and use of natural resources, and agriculture marketing within Bond County.
Bond County CEO
CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) is a unique class open to high school seniors in Unit 1 and Unit 2 school districts. Students must apply and be selected by the CEO board of directors. The class meets weekday mornings prior to school. Students tour local businesses, meet community leaders, and run a class business then individual businesses.
Bond County Fourth Fest
July 4th fireworks are a long-standing tradition in Bond County. Bond County Fourth Fest (formerly the Bond County Independence Day Festival Association) was founded when the previous celebration had been discontinued. Fourth Fest has become one of the area's premier celebrations with fireworks, big name entertainment, food, and more!
Bond County Secret Santa (BCSSS)
BCSSS is dedicated to serving the under-privileged children of Bond County. Poverty and tragedy know no holiday, because of this, their goal is to make a positive impact upon Bond County children through examples of generosity throughout the year.
Comets Sports Boosters
Founded in 1997 out of concern for the many unmet needs of Greenville High School (GHS) sports teams, the Comets Sports Boosters are dedicated to providing additional opportunities to the athletes at the school. The club has funded equipment purchases, facilities upgrades, and other needs that better the sports programs.
Friends of American Heritage Railroad
The American Heritage Railroad celebrates our love for the rails by operating a 15" gauge railroad on approximately one mile of track on the grounds of the American Farm Heritage Museum. The train runs May through October on the first Saturdays, special occasions, and on weekends during the Christmas Light Display.
Mulberry Grove Sports Boosters
The Mulberry Grove Sports Boosters Club exists for the purpose of developing young men and women through competitive sports. The group's goal is to actively participate and support sport teams by working closely with the coaches, athletic director, and school administration.
Pocahontas Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
The Pocahontas PTO provides financial support to Pocahontas School projects that are not funded in the school district's annual budget.
Brett Schewe Memorial Scholarship (Mulberry Grove FFA)
