The FNB Community Bank is the only locally owned community bank in Bond, Fayette, and Marion Counties. Established in 1865, we currently have 7 locations in the following communities: Vandalia, Patoka, Ramsey, Greenville, & Mulberry Grove. We have a LOAN QUALITY CONTROL position available at our main office located in Vandalia.

Summary / Objective

The LOAN QUALITY CONTROL is a position that effectively provides excellent customer service and performs various clerical and administrative duties.

Essential Functions

  • Review all new loan documentation to ensure proper completion and appropriate approval levels of authority as required.
  • Set up loan files and checklists
  • Review loan extensions for proper completion
  • Document, prepare, and maintain the Exception Tracking Report
  • Charge off loans; Balance and prepare reports for the Board
  • Assist in preparing various reports for CFO
  • Prepare, maintain, and balance Letters of Credit
  • Follow up and renewal of UCC expirations
  • Monthly maintenance, statements, and billing of Home Equity loans
  • Prepare monthly Documentation Exception report for the Board
  • HMDA and Adverse Action Checker
  • Back up Loan Clerks
  • Assist with departmental projects
  • Represent the bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with customers, potential customers, and coworkers
  • Display a professional image through appearance and behavior
  • Review and comply with all state and federal regulations and FNB policies and procedures
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the Chief Lending Officer

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Work will occasionally be done outside in all weather conditions.

    • Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
    • Interpret various forms of instructions, whether written, oral, or diagrammatic.
  • Other Skills and Abilities:
    • Operate office equipment including telephones, copiers, fax machines, PCs, and printers.
    • Advanced proficiency in computer applications is required.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school education with additional training preferred
  • Lending knowledge preferred
