The FNB Community Bank Welcomes Willenborg as Loan Officer

The FNB Community Bank recently announced the addition of Ali Willenborg as an Ag Lender.

"We're excited to have Ali join our team," commented Joe Schaal, Senior Lender. "Her background in agriculture gives her a great understanding of what our farmers face. She also has a genuine connection to the agricultural community through her involvement with 4-H, FFA and other ag organizations. We think she'll be a great fit for FNB and a great resource for the farmers and agricultural businesses we serve."

Willenborg was raised just south of Vandalia on her family's dairy and row crop farm, where she still lives today. Growing up on the farm gave her a strong work ethic and sparked her interest in agriculture, which led her to pursue a career in the industry. Willenborg graduated from Vandalia Community High School in 2021 and then attended Murray State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science with a minor in Finance, followed by a Master's degree in Agricultural Business Economics.

During college, she completed two internships that helped broaden her understanding of the agricultural industry. One summer she worked as an Agronomy Intern, and the following summer she served as a Credit Intern, gaining experience in both production agriculture and agricultural finance. After graduating, she returned home and accepted a position as a Farm Business Consultant with Farm Business Farm Management. In this role, she worked closely with agricultural producers, assisting them with financial analysis, business planning, and tax preparation. That position has strengthened her understanding of farm financial management and has prepared her well for the next step in her career.

"I am eager to begin a career in the banking industry, where I can continue serving the agricultural community while building and maintaining strong client relationships," stated Willenborg. "I enjoy working with financials and helping people make informed business decisions, and I look forward to applying my experience in a new role. I am especially excited for the opportunity to serve the community where I grew up and to build lasting relationships with local producers and businesses."

Although she is early in her career, she brings a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to building lasting relationships with clients and coworkers. Growing up on a family farm and pursuing an education in agriculture has taught her the importance of reliability, communication, and serving others, and she looks forward to contributing to the team's success while continuing to grow professionally.

Outside of work, Willenborg enjoys staying involved in her community through the Fayette County Farm Bureau Young Leaders and as a leader of the Shafter Friends 4-H Club. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, and traveling—she always likes to have her next trip planned before the current one is over.

Willenborg will join The FNB Community Bank's Downtown Vandalia Loan Department, where she will work with customers on a variety of lending needs, including consumer, business, and specializing in agriculture.
