The FNB Community Bank is a locally owned financial institution serving customers in Bond, Fayette, and Marion Counties. Established in 1865, the Bank currently has seven locations in the following communities: Vandalia, Patoka, Ramsey, Greenville, and Mulberry Grove.
Position Overview
The Assistant Financial Officer is a key member of the financial team, supporting the CFO in managing the bank's financial operations. This role involves a range of duties from detailed accounting tasks to financial analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Financial Operations:
- Manage Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Perform General Ledger Account Reconciliation to maintain financial integrity.
- Conduct Official Bank Check Reconciliation to track and reconcile bank drafts.
- Handle General Bookkeeping duties to support financial records.
- Maintain Subsidiary Ledgers for accounts including Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, and Accrued Income and Expenses.
- Budget and Accounting:
- Assist in budget preparation and management.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide insights into financial performance and growth opportunities.
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate regular financial reports for board, management, audit, and regulatory purposes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Risk Management:
- Collaborate with the risk management team to assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., lending, operations, compliance) to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Support the CFO in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Experience in banking or financial operations preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail oriented
